Detectives investigating the murder of two French students found dead in a bedsit in south-east London have made a seventh arrest.
The bodies of Gabriel Ferez and Laurent Bonomo, both 23, were found stabbed and burnt in New Cross on 29 June.
A 19-year-old man from Margate, Kent, has been arrested and is currently being held by Kent Police.
Two men have been charged with the murders of Mr Ferez and Mr Bonomo, who had suffered hundreds of stab wounds.
The Metropolitan Police said the latest suspect would later be transferred to a south London police station.
Arson charge
Both victims were nearing the end of a three-month research placement studying DNA at Imperial College London when they were murdered.
They were in the second year of Masters degrees at the Clermont-Ferrand Polytech in the Auvergne region of central France.
Daniel Sonnex, 23, from Peckham, south London, and Nigel Farmer, 33, of no fixed address, have been charged with the murders.
Both Mr Sonnex and Mr Farmer have also been charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice.
Mr Farmer faces an additional charge of arson.
